Option 1 - Setup through our Android App
The easiest way of configuring your Android device to use Liberador.net Smart DNS is to install the Liberador Android App available here.
Using the Liberador App also let you use our DNS when you are connected through a Mobile Network like 3G/4G which is not possible through manual setup that can only be done for Wi-Fi Networks.
With the Liberador App you will be able to activate and deactivate Liberador.net Smart DNS with One Click. You will also be able to set the app to auto activate our DNS on your device at boot.
Option 2 - Manual setup
Important
There are a lot of implementations of Android in the market. That is why each device might have a different way of changing DNS settings. Below are guides for standard setup on Android.
- Steps to setup Android 9.x, 10.x and 11.x

Steps to setup Android 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and 8.x (Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat and Oreo)
Steps to setup Android 12.x, 13.x and 14.x
- Go to Settings.
- Select Network & internet settings.
- Click on Internet.
- Click on your the Wi-Fi network you are connected to.
- Under Network details write down the IP address, Gateway and Subnet mask.
- Click on the edit button on the top right.
- Expand Advanced options.
- Set IP settings to Static
- Type the IP address and Gateway, you wrote down on step 5.
- Enter the Network prefix length depending on the Subnet mask you wrote down on step 5:
- for 255.255.255.0 enter 24
- for 255.255.0.0 enter 16
- for 255.255.255.255 enter 32 - Scroll down until the DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields are visible.
- Set DNS 1 field to 45.63.105.236 and set the DNS 2 field to 51.91.192.251
- Click Save.
- Restart your device.
Steps to setup Android 9.x, 10.x and 11.x
- Go to Settings.
- Select Network & internet settings.
- Select Wi-Fi settings.
- Click on your the Wi-Fi network you are connected to.
- Click on Advanced to expand.
- Under Network details write down the IP address, Gateway and Subnet mask.
- Click on the create edit button.
- Expand Advanced options.
- Set IP settings to Static
- Type the IP address and Gateway, you wrote down on step 6.
- Enter the Network prefix length depending on the Subnet mask you wrote down on step 6:
- for 255.255.255.0 enter 24
- for 255.255.0.0 enter 16
- for 255.255.255.255 enter 32 - Scroll down until the DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields are visible.
- Set DNS 1 field to 45.63.105.236 and set the DNS 2 field to 51.91.192.251
- Click Save.
- Restart your device.
Steps to setup Android 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and 8.x (Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat and Oreo)
- Go to Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi settings.
- Press and hold your wireless network until dialog pops up.
- Select Modify Network.
- Check Show advanced options.
- Set IP settings to Static
- Type your IP address, Gateway, Subnet/Network prefix length using the same values you see in gray.
- Set DNS 1 field to 45.63.105.236 and set the DNS 2 field to 51.91.192.251
- Click Save.
- Restart your device.
Steps to setup Android 4.x (Jelly Bean and KitKat)
- Go to Settings.
- Click on word Wi-Fi.
- Press and hold your wireless network until dialog pops up.
- Select Modify Network.
- Check Show advanced options.
- Set IP settings to Static.
- Keep IP address, Gateway and Network prefix length the same.
- Set DNS 1 field to 45.63.105.236 and set the DNS 2 field to 51.91.192.251
- Click Save.
- Restart your device.
Important
First step of troubleshooting should always be to restart device(s) and router. Then check your account status in your account. You should always see 3 green check marks if the device you are using to visit the account home is set up correctly.
If you use the Opera Max browser, you should not use it to check your account as it is incompatible. Please use another browser like Chrome or Firefox instead.
